Staffordshire Stunner

Some of the things you'll see on the tour.

Ancient routes and charming limestone houses make the picture-postcard village of Hartington the perfect place to start. Leaving the village square and duck pond behind, we make our way along the track bed of the disused Manifold Light Railway.

Soon we reach an incredible little village called Butterton and trundle along the lovely cobbled road – and through the ford that flows down the main street. We take in the sights of this ‘Doubly Thankful Village’, and all becomes clear…

The prominent rocky ridge of The Roaches quickly comes into view. Standing proudly, the wind-carved gritstone rock formations are an impressive sight. Dramatic views across the valley towards Stoke on Trent and Leek are in stark contrast to the peaceful panorama of Tittesworth Reservoir.

We take one last look towards Wales (on a clear day!) before we wind our way back to Hartington.

Why not make your day more memorable? Indulge in a homemade, traditionally English picnic in a handpicked location carefully chosen for its idyllic countryside setting.

What people say:

This was a charming and delightful experience for a belated 60th birthday. The whole tour with Steven and his wonderful vintage car was exceptional. Cosy blankets and hot water bottles were provided as a little extra and Steven gave us his full attention from start to finish. We did the Mr Darcy’s Dales tour taking in such wonderful views and making some lovely memories.

What people say:

Having taken many tours over the years in many places, I can honestly say that riding with Steven and Vintage Adventure Tours was the best we’ve ever done. So charming, so personal, so well-prepared for us. Steven was a delight and I could not recommend him and his tour company any more highly. Thank you again, Steven, for the experience of a lifetime!

What people say:

We had a terrific day with Steven and his beautiful car. From the moment we started until the end of the tour my husband and I were both smiling and the tour exceeded both of our expectations. Steven is a really lovely man and shared with us his extensive knowledge of this beautiful area. We would really recommend this unique and fun way to see absolutely stunning scenery and spend a day in the gorgeous Peak District.
