We begin in the old worlde village of Longnor and quickly leave the bustle behind as we pass through remote parts of the White Peak. This tour has the highest number of hills of them all, and the tallest descent, so we’re treated to some remarkable and far reaching views.
The route takes us via reservoirs, rivers and rugged moorland to the village of Flash. It’s said to be the highest village in England; it has its share of tall stories too…
Next, we visit Wildboarclough and the village, owned by the Earl and Countess of Derby, is now a quiet backwater yet has plenty to say for itself. The adventure continues through Macclesfield Forest and we make a surprise stop at an unbelievable location before we return through the Goyt Valley to Longnor.
Why not make your day more memorable? Indulge in a homemade, traditionally English picnic in a handpicked location carefully chosen for its idyllic countryside setting.
